Royston Group (IOP Portfolio) Acquires Southern CaseArts

Industrial Opportunity Partners announced that its portfolio company SRR Holdings, Inc. (dba Royston Group) has acquired the assets of Southern CaseArts. Southern CaseArts, a designer and manufacturer of refrigerated and custom merchandising cases for grocery and convenience retailers, will join Royston Group to expand its retail fixture and merchandiser capabilities; founder Gene Cary will join Royston as Senior VP of Corporate Development.

River Associates Acquires Hoskin Scientific

River Associates Investments, a Chattanooga-based lower-middle market private equity firm, acquired Hoskin Scientific Limited, a Burnaby, British Columbia–based value-added distributor of test, measurement and monitoring equipment. The transaction closed on December 30, 2021, and was funded with equity from River VII with debt financing provided by Bank of Montreal and PNC Mezzanine Capital.

Royston Group, a portfolio company of Industrial Opportunity Partners (IOP), has acquired the assets of ProImage Wholesale Signs, adding an 80,000 sq. ft. facility in Jacksboro, Tennessee. The site will serve as Royston Group/SignResource's East Coast manufacturing hub, expanding capacity and improving service and freight economics for convenience, grocery and other retail customers; terms were not disclosed.

Hoskin Scientific Acquires Durham Instruments

Oakville, Ontario-based Hoskin Scientific, a portfolio company of River Associates, has acquired Pickering, Ontario-based Durham Instruments, a supplier of test & measurement instrumentation, data acquisition and control systems. The deal, financed with mezzanine debt from PNC Mezzanine Capital, expands Hoskin's national footprint and strengthens its product and service offering across aerospace, automotive, industrial and research end markets.

Rohrer Corporation Acquires Coburn Carton Solutions

Rohrer Corporation has acquired Coburn Carton Solutions, a printer and folding-carton converter based in Hayesville and Ashland, Ohio. The add-on expands Rohrer's paperboard packaging and printed folding carton capabilities and is being completed by Rohrer while it is a portfolio company of Wellspring Capital Management.

HSL Compliance Acquires RJ Urmson Group

West Midlands-based HSL Compliance has acquired Chorley-headquartered RJ Urmson Group, a fire and air ventilation compliance and water treatment specialist. The deal expands HSL's service offering into fire and ventilation safety alongside its existing water safety capabilities, is the firm's third acquisition in 12 months and increases HSL's headcount to more than 550; RJ Urmson's management will remain in place and the business will keep its branding.
