Onex Acquires Majority Stake in OneDigital from New Mountain Capital

Onex Corporation (the Onex Group) agreed to acquire a majority ownership stake in OneDigital from New Mountain Capital, with the transaction valuing OneDigital at $2.65 billion and including an approximate $960 million equity investment by Onex. OneDigital, a leading U.S. employee benefits brokerage and retirement/wealth advisory firm headquartered in Atlanta with more than 2,000 employees, will have Onex and employees owning roughly 83% upon closing; New Mountain will sell down its position. The deal is expected to close in late 2020 pending customary approvals, including HSR clearance.

OneDigital Acquires Your Benefits Partner, LLC

OneDigital has acquired Your Benefits Partner, LLC, a Glen Allen/Richmond, Virginia-based employee benefits and HR consulting firm, to expand its capabilities and scale across the Mid-Atlantic region. The Your Benefits Partner team will integrate with OneDigital’s Richmond office and founder Debbie Stocks will join OneDigital as Principal, Senior Client Executive, giving clients access to OneDigital’s broader benefits, HR consulting, technology and retirement/wealth solutions.

OneDigital Acquires HM Employee Benefits and Risk Management

OneDigital acquired HM Employee Benefits and Risk Management, a St. Louis-based employee benefits and risk management firm, bringing approximately 130 employees into OneDigital. The deal expands OneDigital’s capabilities by adding property & casualty (P&C) services to its existing health, retirement/wealth and HR advisory offerings, enabling a more holistic multiline agency platform.
