Modern Aviation has closed the acquisition of the fixed-base operator (FBO) assets and operations at Francis S. Gabreski Airport (FOK) in Westhampton Beach, NY and Republic Airport (FRG) in Farmingdale, NY from Sheltair Aviation. The deal expands Modern Aviation's Northeast footprint to 12 FBO locations and the company is backed by Tiger Infrastructure Partners.

Modern Aviation Acquires Elliott Aviation's Des Moines FBO

Modern Aviation has closed the acquisition of the fixed-base operator (FBO) assets and operations at Des Moines International Airport from Elliott Aviation, expanding Modern's national network to thirteen locations. The Des Moines FBO operates on a 17-acre leasehold with substantial hangar and office space; Elliott will retain and continue to operate its MRO business on the airfield. Modern Aviation is backed by Tiger Infrastructure Partners.

Modern Aviation has executed a definitive purchase agreement to acquire Mystic Jet Center, LLC (Groton–New London Airport, Groton, CT), Columbia Air Services-BHB, LLC (Hancock County–Bar Harbor Airport, Trenton, ME) and Columbia Air Services-RUT, LLC (Rutland Southern Vermont Regional Airport, Rutland, VT) from their two owners. The deal — expected to close in Q4 2022 — adds more than 161,500 square feet of leasable hangar and office space, retains all employees and expands Modern Aviation’s FBO network to 16 locations; Modern Aviation is backed by Tiger Infrastructure Partners.

Apollo Infrastructure Funds Acquire Majority Stake in Modern Aviation

Atlantic Aviation Acquires Jet Center at Santa Fe

Atlantic Aviation has acquired Jet Center at Santa Fe, a full-service FBO at Santa Fe Regional Airport, adding approximately 16.5 acres of ramp space, a modern executive terminal and ~50,000 sq. ft. of heated hangar space to its network. The facility immediately begins operating as Atlantic Aviation and expands the operator's presence in New Mexico as part of its strategy to add high-quality FBO locations.

Igneo Infrastructure Partners Acquires Infinity Aviation Group

Igneo Infrastructure Partners, a global infrastructure investment manager, has acquired Infinity Aviation Group, a fixed‑base operator (FBO) platform headquartered in Nashua, New Hampshire, including on‑airport assets at Boire Field (KASH). Transaction terms were not disclosed; Igneo named Steven Levesque CEO of Infinity Aviation and said it will invest to grow and develop general aviation infrastructure across North America as part of its dedicated North American strategy.
