The Sterling Group formed Fencing Supply Group as a platform to consolidate independent fencing distributors and announced that Fencing Supply Group has acquired Merchants Metals effective February 26. Merchants Metals is a leading U.S. value-added distributor of fence supplies operating 35 branches and four manufacturing facilities across 28 states; the acquisition is the first add-on for the newly formed FSG platform to expand scale and capabilities.

(MRG), a Norwood, Massachusetts-based electro-mechanical and cable assembly manufacturer. The deal adds specialized cable, wire-harness and box-build capabilities to ECI's platform and expands its presence in automation, defense and medical end markets while keeping MRG's management and facilities in place.
