Bridgestone Americas Acquires Azuga

Bridgestone Americas has agreed to acquire Azuga Holdings, Inc., a fleet management software and connected-vehicle platform, for $391 million from Sumeru Equity Partners, Danlaw and other shareholders. The purchase will accelerate Bridgestone's development of cloud-based mobility and telematics solutions, integrating Azuga's GPS tracking, video telematics and fleet analytics into Bridgestone's mobility offerings; the deal is expected to close by the end of the third quarter, subject to customary conditions.
