Hard Rock International has acquired a majority stake in Globe Entertainment and Media Corp. (GEM), one of the world’s largest private archives of music, celebrity and film photography with more than 15 million images and rare collectibles. The purchase adds GEM’s extensive visual archive to Hard Rock’s existing memorabilia collection and expands its capabilities in collectibles, licensing and guest experiences.

H.I.G. Capital Affiliate Acquires Family Entertainment Group

H.I.G. Capital, through one of its affiliates, has completed the acquisition of Family Entertainment Group Holdings, LLC. The Itasca, Illinois–based company operates nearly 60 family entertainment locations and provides turnkey outsourced arcade and facility management services; H.I.G. will partner with founder George Smith and the existing management team to accelerate growth and expand the company's market presence.

Global Eagle Entertainment Sold to First‑Lien Investor Group Following Chapter 11

Global Eagle Entertainment completed a court‑approved sale of substantially all of its assets to a group led by its first‑lien investors, emerging from Chapter 11 with new ownership and $217.5 million of exit financing. The transaction reduced the company's debt, provided fresh liquidity, and refocused operations on mobility markets (aviation, maritime and energy), while its legacy NGO and African fixed‑site land operations were sold to Marlink AS.

Universal Music Group Acquires Ingrooves Music Group

Universal Music Group (UMG) agreed to acquire the remaining shares of Ingrooves Music Group, taking full ownership of the independent music distribution and marketing company while retaining Bob Roback as CEO. UMG said the deal will expand Ingrooves' geographic reach and service capabilities for independent artists and labels and will create a strategic partnership between UMG’s Caroline International and Ingrooves to enhance global distribution and marketing services.
