The deal brings Tidewater's long-standing expertise in Women's Health and Ophthalmology and a ~97,000-patient database into Eximia's PE-backed platform (investor: VSS Capital Partners); Viking Mergers & Acquisitions advised the sellers.

Onex Corporation Acquires Independent Clinical Services (ICS)

Onex Corporation, via its Onex Partners V fund, agreed to acquire Independent Clinical Services Group Ltd. (ICS) from TowerBrook Capital Partners, with TowerBrook reinvesting a portion of proceeds and the ICS management team also reinvesting. ICS is a healthcare staffing and managed services provider operating across four continents with approximately 1,850 employees and will be supported by Onex to drive future growth and expansion.

The IMA Group Acquires Clinical Trials of America

The IMA Group’s clinical research division, IMA Clinical Research, has acquired Clinical Trials of America (CTA), adding 10 site locations (four independent and six embedded) and expanding IMA’s reach in Louisiana and North Carolina. CTA will continue to operate under existing leadership, and the deal increases IMA’s clinical network and therapeutic capabilities to better serve sponsors and CROs; terms were not disclosed.

American Clinical Research Services Acquires Elixia

American Clinical Research Services (ACRS), a clinical research platform formed by Latticework Capital Management, has acquired Elixia, a multi-specialty clinical research site network operating in Florida, Massachusetts, Michigan and Missouri. The acquisition expands ACRS's footprint and capabilities in complex therapeutic areas—notably nephrology, neuroscience and infectious diseases—and adds Elixia's 40-bed Phase I unit in Tampa to ACRS's national site network.

CenExel Clinical Research Acquires CITrials
