Vandemoortele Acquires Majority Stake in Banneton Bakery

Vandemoortele, a family-owned European food group, has acquired a majority stake in Banneton Bakery, a New Jersey-based manufacturer of freezer-to-oven croissants, danishes, and other pastries. The transaction represents a full exit for Encore Consumer Capital; founders Victor and Alex Litinetsky remain investors and will continue to run day-to-day operations.

Ergon-backed Dolciaria Acquaviva Acquires Dolce Milano S.r.l. and Unigel S.r.l.

Ergon Capital Partners–backed Dolciaria Acquaviva has completed the acquisitions of Dolce Milano S.r.l. (a Lombardy-focused frozen bakery distributor with a small frozen-dessert production line) and Unigel S.r.l. (a specialty frozen bread producer best known for the Schiocco product). The add-ons strengthen Dolciaria's presence in Northern Italy — particularly Lombardy — expand its SKU range into frozen desserts and specialty breads, increase exposure to modern trade and HoReCa channels, and create commercial and production synergies.

Grupo Bimbo Acquires Mile Hi Bakery

Grupo Bimbo SAB de CV has acquired Mile Hi Bakery, a Denver-based supplier of buns and English muffins to quick-service restaurants (QSRs). The purchase, previously part of Mile Hi Companies owned by the Taddonio family, strengthens Bimbo's geographic presence in the U.S. QSR market and expands its customer access across the Rocky Mountain region and beyond.

Commercial Bakeries Corp., a Graham Partners–backed private label cookie and cracker manufacturer, has acquired Hollandia Bakeries Ltd. and The Good Food Company Inc., adding a Mount Brydges, Ontario baking facility and additional cookie manufacturing and packaging capabilities. The transaction is an add-on to Commercial Bakeries’ platform, intended to expand manufacturing capacity and capabilities in the North American private-label cookie market.

QualiTech Acquires Ellison Bakery

QualiTech, a portfolio company of MidOcean Partners, has acquired Ellison Bakery from Tilia Holdings. The add-on strengthens QualiTech's ingredient and inclusion capabilities—Ellison, headquartered in Fort Wayne, Indiana, manufactures baked inclusions, crunches, toppings and related ingredients for retail, foodservice and private label customers; terms were not disclosed.

CVC Acquires Grupo Monbake from Ardian and Co-investors

CVC funds have acquired the entire stake in Grupo Monbake from Ardian and its co-investors Alantra, Artá and Landon. The private markets manager will partner with Monbake's existing management to drive global expansion and strengthen the group's innovation and production capabilities in the frozen dough and bakery sector. Transaction financial terms were not disclosed.
