Stone Point Acquires Consilio from GI Partners

GI Partners has signed a definitive agreement to sell Consilio, a global eDiscovery and legal consulting services provider, to investment funds managed by Stone Point Capital. Closing was expected in May 2021; Stone Point and Aquiline (which is acquiring Xact Data Discovery) intend to combine the Consilio and XDD businesses to create a larger global eDiscovery platform.

Consilio Integrates Australian eDiscovery Provider elaw

Consilio announced an integration/investment in elaw, an Australian eDiscovery and eLitigation provider, to strengthen its eDiscovery footprint across Australia and New Zealand. The move expands Consilio's local delivery capacity and capabilities for government, corporate and legal clients, and provides elaw's clients access to Consilio's global technology and Lawyers On Demand services.

Consilio Acquires Adecco Group’s Special Counsel Legal Consulting and eDiscovery Units (D4 and EQ)

Consilio has completed the acquisition of the Adecco Group’s legal consulting and eDiscovery business units of Special Counsel, including D4 and EQ. The deal expands Consilio’s document review, legal process outsourcing and cyber incident response capabilities while Adecco retains its legal staffing and permanent placement units, which will transition to LHH Professional Recruitment.

Consilio Acquires Legility

Consilio has acquired Legility from private equity firm Gridiron Capital, combining Consilio's global eDiscovery and legal consulting platform with Legility's technology-enabled legal services, managed review, and flexible legal talent capabilities. The deal expands Consilio's enterprise legal services, enhances its European footprint, and integrates Legility's talent and technology into Consilio's Complete suite of solutions.

TCDI Acquires Aon's eDiscovery Practice

TCDI has completed the acquisition of Aon’s eDiscovery practice, adding advisory capabilities, the NOMAD mobile processing platform, PHI/PII detection and post-breach support tools while expanding TCDI’s geographic footprint into the United Kingdom. Colleagues from Aon’s practice are joining TCDI; Trivest Partners, a minority investor in TCDI since 2020, is involved in the transaction and will continue a commercial relationship with Aon.

Innovative Discovery Acquires Integro

Innovative Discovery has acquired information governance consultancy Integro to expand its e-discovery offerings and provide end-to-end services across the EDRM. Financial terms were not disclosed; Integro will initially continue to operate as a separate brand while its management (led by CEO Scott Burt) will lead Innovative Discovery's information governance services. The deal is being executed with Innovative Discovery as a PE-backed platform (backed by Silver Oak Services Partners).
