Aero Precision, a PE-backed aerospace distribution and services platform, has acquired Kellstrom Defense, a provider of defense aircraft aftermarket sustainment solutions. The deal combines distribution, repair & overhaul, engineering and logistics capabilities to create a larger privately owned military aftermarket distributor and expand Aero Precision's global defense aviation support footprint.

VSE Corporation Acquires Kellstrom Aerospace Group

VSE Corporation (NASDAQ: VSEC) has completed the acquisition of Kellstrom Aerospace Group, Inc., a portfolio company of AE Industrial Partners, expanding VSE Aviation's distribution and MRO capabilities in the commercial engine aftermarket. VSE said the deal was funded with cash (approximately $185 million) and 172,414 common shares (subject to working capital adjustments); AE Industrial Partners' announcement characterized the sale as $200 million.

Hartzell Engine Tech Acquires Kelly Aero LLC

Hartzell Engine Tech has acquired Kelly Aero LLC, an aftermarket maker of aircraft magnetos, replacement parts, and ignition harnesses, adding roughly 40 employees and manufacturing capacity in Montgomery, Alabama. Hartzell will evaluate the products in 2024, pursue PMA approval, and plans to rebrand the line as PowerUp Ignition Systems while integrating production into its Montgomery facility and service work at sister company Quality Aircraft Accessories.

KCI Acquires Advanced Telecommunications Solutions (ATS)

Oshkosh Corporation Acquires AeroTech Business from JBT Corporation for $800 million

Oshkosh Corporation agreed to acquire the AeroTech business from JBT Corporation in an $800 million all-cash transaction (approximately $720 million net of expected tax benefits). The acquisition expands Oshkosh into the air transportation support market, adds recurring aftermarket revenue and technology capabilities (electrification, autonomy, connectivity), and is expected to be accretive to earnings and deliver synergies of roughly $20 million run-rate by year three.
