ProAmpac Acquires Specialty Packaging, Inc.

ProAmpac, a Cincinnati-based flexible packaging manufacturer owned by Pritzker Private Capital, has acquired Specialty Packaging, Inc., a family-owned paper, film and foil packaging manufacturer based in Fort Worth, Texas. The acquisition expands ProAmpac's paper bag converting capacity, broadens its recyclable foodservice packaging portfolio and extends its footprint into the southwestern United States.

C-P Flexible Packaging Acquires Fruth Custom Packaging and Cleanroom Film & Bag

C-P Flexible Packaging, a portfolio company of First Atlantic Capital, acquired Fruth Custom Packaging, Inc. and affiliated Cleanroom Film and Bag, Inc., both based in Placentia, California. The deal expands C-P's West Coast footprint and adds cleanroom-capable flexible packaging capabilities for medical device, biopharmaceutical, electronics and semiconductor customers. Terms were not disclosed.

Flexpak, LLC Acquires Preferred Packaging Products, Inc.

Flexpak, LLC, a Shorehill Capital-backed value-added packaging distributor based in Woods Cross, Utah, completed the acquisition of Thornton, Colorado-based Preferred Packaging Products, Inc. on February 1, 2023. The add-on expands Flexpak's geographic footprint into Colorado and adds specialized packaging capabilities serving end markets including electronics, instrumentation, consumer products and healthcare.

Fortis Solutions Group Acquires Anchor Printing

Fortis Solutions Group, a portfolio company of Harvest Partners, has acquired Anchor Printing, a Novi, Michigan-based flexographic and offset printer specializing in shrink sleeves, flexible packaging and pressure-sensitive labels. The deal brings Anchor's product capabilities and customer relationships into Fortis's expanding packaging platform as an add-on to bolster manufacturing capabilities and end-market coverage.

The Lachemont Group Acquires Coastal Packaging

The Lachemont Group, a holding company with assets in New Jersey and Los Angeles, has acquired Coastal Packaging, a custom flexible-packaging manufacturer that produces roll stock, open-mouth bags, custom-fit container liners and pallet covers. The acquisition gives Lachemont vertical integration with its existing plastic-processing property and expands the group's geographic and end-market reach while enabling the Coastal Packaging brand to continue operating under new ownership.

PPC Flexible Packaging Acquires Target Labels and Packaging

PPC Flexible Packaging has acquired Target Labels and Packaging, a North Salt Lake, Utah-based provider of flexographic and digitally printed labels, rollstock and pouches. The acquisition — PPC's seventh in four years — expands PPC's western U.S. footprint and adds labeling and flexible-packaging capabilities for nutraceutical, snack, confectionery and specialty consumer brands.
