In December 2019, LSC Environmental Products, a portfolio company of Ancor Capital Partners, acquired Phoenix Paper Products of Lostant, Illinois. The add-on expands LSC's erosion-control and mulch product portfolio and provides vertical integration of supply, manufacturing and distribution channels for environmental and industrial applications.

Midwest Mezzanine provided subordinated debt and equity to support Ancor's investment; L2 said the sale represented a realization of its 2011 investment after executing transformational changes and an add-on under its ownership.

LSC Environmental Products Acquires Benzaco Scientific, Inc.

Ancor Capital Partners portfolio company LSC Environmental Products, LLC has acquired Benzaco Scientific, Inc., a Washington, D.C.-based manufacturer of natural odor-control compounds and delivery systems. The deal expands LSC's solutions portfolio in the solid waste, oil & gas and remediation markets, brings Benzaco's team into LSC's organization, and retains Benzaco's product lines, including the Odor-Armor family; terms were not disclosed.

Exchange Income Corporation Acquires Spartan Mat, LLC and Spartan Composites, LLC

Exchange Income Corporation (EIC) completed the acquisition of Spartan Mat, LLC and its subsidiary Spartan Composites, LLC for US$120 million (including US$18 million in EIC common shares). The purchase expands EIC's Environmental Access Solutions business into the U.S. matting market and adds Spartan's SYSTEM7 composite mats and FODS Trackout products to its manufacturing portfolio.

The transaction creates a scaled platform headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia, with expected cost synergies of $65+ million and combined capabilities across filtration, engineered papers, protective solutions, healthcare and packaging.
