Lyten Acquires Northvolt's BESS Product Portfolio

Lyten announced it has secured more than $200 million in additional equity (primarily from existing investors) and acquired the rights to Northvolt's Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) product portfolio, including Voltpack Mobile Systems (VMS) and Voltrack. Core members of Northvolt's energy storage engineering team will join Lyten in Stockholm, and Lyten plans to manufacture VMS and future BESS products in Gdansk, Poland with production targeted for Q4 2025.

Lyten to Acquire Northvolt Revolt Ett Battery Recycling Facility in Skellefteå, Sweden

Lyten announced it has entered into a binding agreement to acquire Northvolt’s Revolt Ett battery recycling facility in Skellefteå, Sweden. The company plans to integrate recycling into its expanding Skellefteå industrial hub and create a vertically integrated battery ecosystem (manufacturing, research, and materials recovery), with the deal expected to close in the second quarter of 2026. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Scania Acquires Northvolt Systems Industrial Division

Scania has agreed with the trustee to acquire the Industrial Division of Northvolt Systems, including production capabilities in Gdańsk and an R&D centre in Tomteboda, Stockholm, and a team of approximately 260 employees. The acquisition integrates battery system manufacturing and R&D into Scania Power Solutions to strengthen the company's electrification offering for off‑road and heavy industry applications; the purchase price was not disclosed.
