Radial Equity Partners Acquires Cortina and Merges It with Portfolio Company Plasticade

Radial Equity Partners has acquired Cortina, a Franklin Park, Illinois-based manufacturer of traffic and work zone safety products, and will merge it with Radial’s 2024 portfolio company Plasticade. The Giannelli family will retain an ownership stake and Matt Soule has been named interim CEO of the combined business to accelerate growth and expand product and manufacturing capabilities.

Radiology Partners Acquires MEDNAX Radiology Solutions

Radiology Partners completed the acquisition of MEDNAX Radiology Solutions, a division of MEDNAX, Inc., in a transaction valued at approximately $885 million that closed December 15, 2020. The deal brings hundreds of MEDNAX radiologists and support staff into Radiology Partners, expanding clinical coverage, subspecialty capabilities and technology resources across the combined organization.

5th Century Partners Acquires Radon Medical Imaging

5th Century Partners has acquired Radon Medical Imaging, a provider of medical imaging equipment service, sales, and distribution, with unitranche debt and a minority equity investment provided by Avante Capital Partners to support the transaction. The deal positions Radon as the platform for growth in medical imaging services and will leverage Avante’s flexible capital to support the company’s expansion.

B-FLEXION Life Sciences to Acquire Remaining 57% of Radius Health from Patient Square and Webster Equity Partners

B-FLEXION Life Sciences has agreed to purchase the remaining 57% interest in Radius Health held by affiliates of Patient Square Capital and Webster Equity Partners. Radius, a specialty biopharmaceutical focused on bone health, had been taken private by B-FLEXION and Patient Square in August 2022. The transaction is expected to close by the end of Q1 2026.

Intelerad Acquires PenRad Technologies, Inc.

Intelerad Medical Systems has acquired PenRad Technologies, Inc., a provider of breast imaging, lung screening and patient-tracking software, to expand its mammography and lung analytics capabilities and optimize radiologist workflows. The deal follows Intelerad’s recent investment from TA Associates and aims to integrate PenRad’s solutions into Intelerad’s enterprise imaging platform to meet rising oncology screening demand.
