Molex Agrees to Acquire Smiths Interconnect to Expand Aerospace and Medtech Connectivity

Molex announced it has signed an agreement to acquire Smiths Interconnect, a subsidiary of the United Kingdom-based Smiths Group plc. The acquisition is expected to close in the first half of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions. The deal combines Molex’s aerospace and defense footprint and engineering capabilities with Smiths Interconnect’s high-reliability connectivity solutions for aerospace and defense, medical, and semiconductor test markets.

Mercury Systems Acquires Avalex Technologies Corporation

Mercury Systems, Inc. signed a definitive agreement to acquire Avalex Technologies Corporation, a Gulf Breeze, Florida-based provider of mission-critical avionics (rugged displays, communications management, digital video recorders, and warning systems). The all-cash asset purchase (subject to customary adjustments) is expected to be funded with cash on hand and the company's revolving credit facility; Avalex generated approximately $40 million of revenue for the year ended December 31, 2022 with ~25% adjusted EBITDA margins and the deal was expected to close in Mercury's fiscal Q2 2022 (subject to HSR clearance).

AirX Climate Solutions Acquires Northern Air Systems

AirX Climate Solutions, Inc. acquired Northern Air Systems, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of specialized, mission-critical packaged HVAC systems. The acquisition is intended to strengthen AirX’s leadership in mission-critical HVAC by adding Northern Air’s engineering capabilities and global presence across demanding verticals. Tim Confer will transition to a Strategic Advisor role at AirX, while Will Rausch will lead Northern Air as General Manager.

O2 Aero Acquisitions Acquires Shaw Aerox (Aerox Aviation Oxygen Systems)

The acquisition expands Electra's technical capabilities and sales pipeline in the advanced air mobility market and raises its order book to nearly 800 units.

BJG Electronics Group Acquires Intro Corporation

BJG Electronics Group, a Rockwood portfolio company, has acquired Intro Corporation, a Melbourne, Florida-based supplier of electrical connectors and accessories to the commercial aviation, aerospace and telecommunications industries. The add-on acquisition expands BJG's mil-aero product offering and quick-turn MRO capabilities, creating additional cross-selling opportunities while allowing Intro to operate as a stand-alone business unit.
