Monroe Engineering Acquires Fasteners, Inc.

Monroe Engineering has acquired Fasteners, Inc., a regional wholesale fastener distributor based in Englewood, Colorado. The transaction, which closed January 31, 2023, was advised by Generational Equity and represents an add-on acquisition to Monroe’s industrial hardware and fastener platform to expand its regional distribution and inventory capabilities.

ShoreView has sold Monroe Engineering Group, a Rochester Hills, Michigan-based supplier of custom and standard hardware for OEMs, to a consortium led by AEA Investors with participation from NB Private Equity Partners. ShoreView originally partnered with Monroe in 2017 to fund an aggressive add-on and organic growth strategy; the new private equity owners will continue to support the company’s platform growth and add-on strategy.

The deal — which adds Spangle’s fastener supply capabilities and warehouse footprint in Indiana and Texas — increases Monroe’s financial scale by roughly 30% and preserves Spangle’s management team to support cross-selling and geographic expansion.
