Toronto-based GOcxm has acquired MobileXCo, a mobile-first shopper engagement and research specialist, for an undisclosed amount. The deal integrates MobileXCo's loyalty, gamification and consumer-research capabilities into GOcxm's AI-enabled retail execution and consumer engagement platform to strengthen commerce marketing and retail execution offerings for CPG brands.

MOTIVE Acquires AWS Communications

MOTIVE, a provider of infrastructure, telecommunications and energy solutions based in Corona, California, acquired AWS Communications effective November 1, 2020. The acquisition adds AWS's Austin-based OSP/ISP design and construction capabilities and new locations (Austin, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Colorado Springs and Tampa), expanding MOTIVE’s geographic footprint coast-to-coast and bringing the combined company to about 600 employees.

3i Infrastructure plc Acquires Global Cloud Xchange for $512M

3i Infrastructure plc has completed a $512 million acquisition of a 100% stake in Global Cloud Xchange (GCX), a global data communications service provider and owner of a large private subsea fiber optic network. 3i Infrastructure said it will partner with GCX management to invest in the platform—expanding capacity, adding routes and services, and pursuing growth across key markets including India, the Middle East and Europe.

Google (Google Cloud) Acquires MobiledgeX

GTCR Acquires Controlling Stake in Consumer Cellular

GTCR has agreed to acquire a majority interest in Consumer Cellular, the U.S. wireless provider focused on customers 50+, in a transaction expected to close by the end of 2020. Founder and CEO John Marick will retire but remain a board member and shareholder; GTCR said it will invest to continue the company’s growth while Consumer Cellular retains its offices and nearly 2,000 employees.

MOBILTEX Acquires GCRTech (UK)

MOBILTEX Data Ltd., an XPV Water Partners company, has acquired GCR Tech Limited, a UK manufacturer of field instruments for water network pressure management and leakage control. The deal brings GCRTech's edge-computing instrumentation together with MOBILTEX's IIoT, cloud and analytics capabilities to expand product offerings and accelerate growth into water utilities and energy markets.
