Private equity firm Contour Ridge (via CR Sweetwater Fund I / Contour Ridge Sweetwater Investco LLC) has made a strategic growth investment to acquire a majority stake in WhiteStar Corporation, a Lakewood, Colorado-based GIS data and land-mapping software company. The capital will be used to accelerate commercialization and development of WhiteStar's proprietary geospatial data assets and AI-based land-mapping capabilities for real estate, energy & utilities, telecom and other infrastructure markets; terms were not disclosed.

The acquisition expands ESG's end-to-end energy software platform by adding Pandell's land, GIS, accounting and field solutions to better serve oil & gas, utilities and renewable customers across the energy value chain.

Lightstar was a portfolio company of funds managed by Elda River Capital Management LLC and Magnetar; under Eagle Creek ownership its full development pipeline and assets will be transitioned to Eagle Creek to accelerate its community solar IPP strategy.
