SITA Acquires Materna IPS

SITA has agreed to acquire Germany-based Materna IPS, a provider of passenger handling and self-bag-drop solutions, in a deal announced on Tuesday for an undisclosed amount and subject to regulatory approvals. The acquisition expands SITA's airport and passenger-processing capabilities by combining Materna IPS's kiosk and self-service technologies with SITA's digital travel, biometrics and airport operations solutions.
