Blue Sea Capital, a West Palm Beach-based private equity firm, made an investment in Abrasive Technology, a Lewis Center, Ohio-based manufacturer of superabrasive grinding tools and dental burs. The founder Loyal “Butch” Peterman remains with the company and Blue Sea said it will support growth across Abrasive Technology’s aerospace, medical/dental and industrial end markets; financing was provided by Twin Brook Capital Partners.

Greenbriar Equity Group Acquires Sunvair Aerospace Group from Blue Sea Capital

Funds managed by Greenbriar Equity Group completed the acquisition of Sunvair Aerospace Group, a U.S.-based aircraft component MRO specialist, from Blue Sea Capital. Limbach Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: LMB) has acquired Industrial Air, LLC, a Greensboro-based specialty mechanical contractor, for an initial enterprise value of $13.5 million in an all-cash transaction with up to $6.5 million of contingent earn-outs. Industrial Air, founded in 1964, provides engineered air handling, air filtration and controls to industrial and textile customers and is expected to contribute roughly $30 million of revenue and $4 million of EBITDA annually; the deal expands Limbach's geographic footprint in the Carolinas and strengthens its industrial/institutional capabilities.
