Netflix to Acquire Next Games for ~€65 Million

Netflix entered into a combination agreement to acquire mobile game developer Next Games via a tender offer for all issued and outstanding shares. The deal is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, and Scopely says it has since closed the acquisition on May 29, 2025.

Playdots, a New York City–based studio known for Two Dots and other casual free-to-play titles, will remain led by CEO Nir Efrat and its ~70 employees following the closing, expected in Q3 2020.
