Acumera, an Austin-based edge computing and managed network SaaS provider, has acquired Netsurion's Secure Edge Networking business, including its all‑in‑one managed networking, resilience, compliance and security solution and associated development and support staff. The transaction (terms undisclosed) transfers the Secure Edge Networking product, people and customers to Acumera while Netsurion will focus on its Managed Threat Protection/MDR offerings.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Acquires Axis Security

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) agreed to acquire Axis Security, a Tel Aviv-based cloud-native Security Service Edge (SSE) provider, to expand HPE’s edge-to-cloud SASE capabilities. HPE will integrate Axis Security’s Atmos platform with Aruba networking and HPE GreenLake to offer a unified SASE/SSE solution as-a-service; the deal is expected to close by the end of HPE’s FY2023 Q2, subject to customary conditions.

Thales Signs Agreement to Acquire S21sec and Excellium (Maxive Cybersecurity)

Thales has signed a definitive agreement with Sonae Investment Management to acquire cybersecurity consulting, integration, and managed services companies S21sec and Excellium, held under Maxive Cybersecurity. The deal is intended to expand Thales’ cybersecurity portfolio—particularly incident detection and response/SOC capabilities—and materially grow its European footprint in Spain, Portugal, Luxembourg, and Belgium.

Sysnet Global Solutions Acquires NuArx

Sysnet Global Solutions, a Dublin-based provider of cybersecurity and PCI compliance solutions, has acquired NuArx, Inc., a Southfield, Michigan-headquartered provider of PCI compliance SaaS and managed security for retail, restaurant, convenience and grocery merchants. The deal — a successful exit for One Equity Partners — expands Sysnet’s SecurePCI and managed-security capabilities and accelerates its North American market presence; terms were not disclosed.

iNovex Acquires Secure Innovations

Terms were not disclosed; Secure Innovations CEO Doug Jeruzal will remain with the combined business as iNovex expands its defensive cyber, systems security engineering and security automation capabilities.

Strata Information Group Acquires Triaxiom Security

Strata Information Group (SIG), a portfolio company of Fort Point Capital, has acquired Triaxiom Security, a Charlotte-based cybersecurity firm specializing in penetration testing, compliance auditing and strategic security services. The deal will establish a dedicated SIG Cyber practice focused on meeting the cybersecurity needs of colleges and universities and expand SIG's service offering for its higher education client base.
