Northwest Hardwoods Acquires Post Hardwoods

Northwest Hardwoods (NWH) has acquired Post Hardwoods, a Michigan-based hardwood supplier and sawmill founded in 1980 by brothers Bob and Junior Post. The deal adds Post Hardwoods' Glacial-species log sales, sawing capabilities and a 13,500-square-foot sawmill facility to NWH's supply chain, enhancing product variety and sourcing flexibility; terms were not disclosed.

(TSX: HDI) agreed to acquire Novo Building Products LLC from Blue Wolf Capital Partners in a transaction announced June 23, 2021; the purchase price was disclosed by HDI as approximately US$303 million and the deal was expected to close in late July/early August 2021. Novo, headquartered in Zeeland, Michigan, is a manufacturer and value-added distributor of mouldings, millwork and stair parts with more than 1,400 employees; Blue Wolf had owned Novo since 2016.
