nVent Completes Acquisition of Avail Infrastructure Solutions' Electrical Products Group

nVent Electric plc completed the acquisition of the enclosures, switchgear and bus systems businesses (the "Electrical Products Group") of Avail Infrastructure Solutions for $975 million in cash. The business — a North American provider serving power utilities, data centers and renewables with ~1,100 employees and nine U.S. manufacturing locations — will be operated predominantly within nVent's Systems Protection segment to strengthen its infrastructure offerings.

Sentinel Capital Partners Acquires ECM Industries

Sentinel Capital Partners has acquired ECM Industries, a New Berlin, Wisconsin-based manufacturer and supplier of branded electrical products (including Gardner Bender, King Innovation and Bergen) from Genstar Capital. Terms were not disclosed; Sentinel said it will partner with ECM management to build an electrical-products platform and pursue multiyear growth across core markets and adjacencies.

ECM Industries Acquires ILSCO

ECM Industries, LLC (New Berlin, Wisconsin) announced the acquisition of electrical connector manufacturer ILSCO, headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio. The deal adds ILSCO's power connectors, grounding solutions and distribution footprint (three countries, eight manufacturing locations and nine distribution centers) to ECM's portfolio to strengthen its product offering and channel coverage in commercial, industrial, utility and OEM markets.

EMCOR Group Acquires ECM Holding Group

EMCOR Group, Inc. has agreed to acquire ECM Holding Group, Inc., a national energy-efficiency specialty services firm headquartered in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, in an all-cash transaction. The acquisition expands EMCOR's energy efficiency and sustainability services capabilities, adding ECM's HVAC, lighting, water, weatherization and airflow management offerings (ECM had estimated 2023 revenues of $60 million).

nVent Electric Acquires CIS Global from Guardian Capital Partners for ~$200M

nVent Electric plc has acquired CIS Global LLC, a provider of intelligent rack power distribution units and server rack slides, for approximately $200 million in cash. The acquisition strengthens nVent's data center power and thermal management capabilities and expands its global manufacturing footprint; CIS Global is headquartered in Tucson, Arizona and employs about 850 people worldwide.

Brookfield Acquires Chemelex from nVent for $1.7B

Brookfield Asset Management, via one of its private equity funds and together with listed affiliate Brookfield Business Partners, completed the acquisition of Chemelex from nVent Electric Plc for $1.7 billion. Brookfield funded the deal with about $830 million of equity (Brookfield Business Partners invested roughly $210 million for a 25% interest) with the balance from institutional partners; Brookfield said it will apply its industrial operating expertise to grow Chemelex as an independent business.
