Protective Life Insurance Company, a principal subsidiary of Protective Life Corporation (itself a wholly owned U.S. subsidiary of Dai-ichi Life Holdings), has acquired AUL Corp., a provider of automotive finance and insurance products and vehicle service contracts. The deal expands Protective's Asset Protection Division product portfolio and distribution reach across agents, dealers, higher-mileage vehicles and financial-institution channels.
