The deal combines two established regional paint businesses to preserve Miller Paint's legacy while expanding geographic reach and operational efficiencies across the Pacific Northwest.

The Protech Group Acquires MF Paints Inc.

Montreal-based The Protech Group has acquired 100% of MF Paints Inc., a Laval, Quebec manufacturer and distributor of architectural paints and stains, with the transaction effective October 7, 2023. Protech said it will leverage its purchasing, technical and manufacturing capabilities to expand MF Paints' product offerings and strengthen its presence in the Canadian retail and commercial building paints market; the Morello family and MF Paints shareholders sold the company.

Wesco Group Acquires Capital Paint and Refinish, LLC

Wesco Group, LLC has acquired Capital Paint and Refinish, LLC, a regional distributor of automotive paint and supplies with eleven locations across Texas, Louisiana and Colorado. The acquisition expands Wesco's nationwide footprint in the automotive refinish distribution market and brings Capital's team and customers into the Wesco organization.

Flacks Group Acquires Artemyn from Imerys for $400M

Artemyn operates ~24 plants globally with roughly 1,000 employees, $400M in revenue and $60M in EBITDA; the deal represents Flacks Group’s strategic entry into the mining and specialty minerals sector.

Fingerpaint Marketing Acquires Emcay

PaintWell (Cairngorm Capital) Acquires Kent Blaxill

Cairngorm Capital-backed PaintWell Limited has acquired Kent Blaxill Group Limited, adding 23 branches and extending PaintWell’s branch network across the East of England and the South East. The enlarged group will operate 46 branches with c.250 employees and combined revenues of £55m; members of the Kent and Blaxill families are exiting but reinvesting and Kent Blaxill’s management will remain.
