Sovos, a Boston-based global tax software provider, has acquired LTtax, a New York–based payroll withholding and unemployment tax software provider that serves large retailers, financial institutions and insurers. The deal brings LTtax's automated wage withholding capabilities into Sovos' tax information reporting suite, enabling Sovos to support payroll wage withholding (941 series) while strengthening non-wage withholding automation for 945 and 1042 reporting; terms were not disclosed.

Sovos Acquires Aatrix Software

Avalara Acquires Track1099

Avalara (NYSE: AVLR) has acquired Track1099 LLC, a provider of online 1099, W-2 and other IRS form e-filing and delivery software, adding Track1099's technology, content and team to Avalara's compliance platform. The deal expands Avalara’s compliance document management capabilities ahead of changing federal/state e-filing requirements.

The deal adds IRIS’ GST, notice and litigation management, tax analytics and e-way bill compliance modules into the Sovos Indirect Tax Suite and supports faster local deployment and customer transition with dedicated regional experts.
