Brown & Root Industrial Services Acquires Specialty Welding and Turnarounds (SWAT)

Brown & Root Industrial Services (owned by One Equity Partners and KBR) has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Specialty Welding and Turnarounds (SWAT), a turnaround, cooling tower, and industrial catalyst services provider. The acquisition is intended to expand Brown & Root’s capabilities and end-market exposure, particularly in refinery and renewables, while enabling cross-selling and operational efficiencies. ORIX Capital Partners later announced completion of the sale, including ORIX Capital Partners’ exit and Hastings Equity Partners’ divestment of its minority stake.

Columbia River Partners Invests in Business Solution Partners

BRP Group Acquires Construction Risk Partners

BRP Group, via its subsidiary Baldwin Krystyn Sherman Partners (BKS Partners), has entered into an agreement to acquire all outstanding equity interests of Construction Risk Partners (CRP), a specialty construction insurance brokerage headquartered in Branchburg, New Jersey. The deal adds about $32.6 million of annual revenue and roughly 85 employees, strengthening BRP's national construction risk management platform and expanding its construction-focused capabilities and market presence.

Sandbrook Capital Acquires United Utility Services from BCP

BCP, a services and infrastructure-focused private equity management firm, has closed the previously announced sale of United Utility Services to Sandbrook Capital, in partnership with funds managed by Blackstone Credit & Insurance. United Utility is a grid services platform providing engineering, design, maintenance, and construction services for electric utility transmission, distribution, and substation infrastructure.
