IES Holdings, Inc. completed the acquisition of Gulf Island Fabrication, Inc., buying all outstanding common stock for $12.00 per share in cash (approx. $192 million equity value). Highlander Partners Acquires Direct Scaffolding Supply

Highlander Partners, a Dallas-based private investment firm, acquired Direct Scaffolding Supply (DSS), a Houston-headquartered OEM and supplier of scaffolding, shoring and forming equipment. The deal included several DSS-affiliated businesses (DirecTank Environmental Products, GSD Logistics, Beric Valves and Direct Staging and Seating); the founders will remain shareholders and board members and Highlander plans to treat DSS as a platform for add-on acquisitions.

Quanta Services Acquires Dynamic Systems (DSI)

Quanta Services completed the acquisition of Dynamic Systems (DSI), a turnkey mechanical, plumbing and process infrastructure solutions provider headquartered in Austin, Texas. The transaction, which closed July 25, 2025, expands Quanta's mechanical construction and off-site fabrication capabilities, adds a ~2,400-employee platform and diversified end-market exposure (technology/semiconductor, healthcare, industrial) and was funded with cash and Quanta stock (approximately $1.35 billion upfront plus potential earnout).

DSS, Inc. Acquires SBG Technology Solutions, Inc.

Document Storage Systems, Inc. (DSS, Inc.) has acquired Alexandria-based SBG Technology Solutions, Inc., which will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary to expand DSS's services capabilities for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Defense and other federal agencies. The acquisition (closed September 8, 2021) will bolster DSS's Health IT, national security, cybersecurity and AI/ML capabilities to support government and commercial clients; financial terms were not disclosed.

Inflexion Acquires Majority Stake in dss+ from Gyrus Capital
