Core Specialty Insurance Holdings, Inc. has completed the acquisition of American Surety Company and Underwriters Surety, creating a new Surety Division and adding bail bonds and commercial surety bond product lines. The deal was completed with a mix of cash and stock, preserves the American Surety brand and management team, and brings approximately $93 million in 2023 GAAP gross premiums written to Core Specialty.

Soundcore Capital Partners (via ACI Holdings) Acquires ACS Asphalt Concrete Solutions

Soundcore Capital Partners, through its ACI Holdings Group platform, acquired ACS Asphalt Concrete Solutions and combined it with previously acquired ACI Asphalt & Concrete to create a larger commercial paving platform in the Minneapolis / Upper Midwest market. O2 Sponsor Finance (a division of Old Second National Bank) acted as administrative agent and lead arranger on more than $44 million of senior secured financing to support Soundcore’s acquisitions; Old National Bank and Northstar Capital provided additional financing and subordinated debt. Terms were not disclosed.

Core & Main Acquires Lee Supply Company Inc.

The acquisition expands Core & Main’s HDPE product and service capabilities and brings Lee Supply’s four East Coast locations into Core & Main’s national distribution network.

Individual Buyer Acquires Bugle Energy Services

D'Angelo Co., a Southern California fire protection and waterworks distributor, and to acquire substantially all assets of Foster Supply (Foster Supply Inc. and R.P. Foster Inc.), a precast concrete, drainage and geosynthetics provider operating in Kentucky, Tennessee and West Virginia. The deals expand Core & Main's regional footprint in Southern California and strengthen its geosynthetics and precast concrete capabilities across the eastern U.S.
