The investment will provide Specialty Networks — a Rocky River, Ohio-based provider of a urology-focused GPO, analytics, and consulting services — with capital and resources to expand its services and capabilities for community-based urology practices and industry partners.

Cardinal Health has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Specialty Networks, a technology-enabled multi-specialty group purchasing and practice enhancement organization, from Linden Capital Partners for $1.2 billion in cash. The deal adds Specialty Networks' GPOs, PPS Analytics platform and life-sciences/research capabilities to Cardinal Health's Specialty business to accelerate capability expansion across urology, gastroenterology and rheumatology.

The acquisition will integrate Gastrologix into Specialty Networks' real-world data, technology, and tech-enabled services to deliver clinical and economic value to independent GI practices and industry partners.

MJH Life Sciences Acquires Rheumatology Winter Clinical Symposium (RWCS)

The annual RWCS meeting will continue under MJH's ownership with Physicians' Education Resource (PER) serving as the CME provider and HCPLive as a content partner to extend reach within the rheumatology community.

Schweiger Dermatology Group Acquires United Skin Specialists

Schweiger Dermatology Group (SDG) has acquired United Skin Specialists (USS), a Minneapolis-based dermatology practice management company formerly backed by Tonka Bay Equity Partners. The acquisition adds USS's 10 Midwest office locations and 35 providers to SDG and represents SDG's entrance into the Midwest, while Tonka Bay and BGL served as seller and advisor respectively; financial terms were not disclosed.

Integrated Oncology Network Acquires Urology Partners, LLC

Integrated Oncology Network, LLC (ION), a portfolio company of Silver Oak Services Partners, has acquired Urology Partners, LLC, a private-practice urology group serving the greater Cleveland area. The deal combines Urology Partners with ION’s existing partner SouthWest Urology (and longtime partner Northern Ohio Regional Cancer Center) to expand urologic and prostate cancer care capacity and services across Cleveland and Ohio.
