Suntex Marinas Acquires Prime Marina Miami (Bayshore Landing)

Suntex Marina Investors, LLC acquired Prime Marina Miami (to be renamed Bayshore Landing) in Coconut Grove, Miami, purchasing the property's renewed 70-year lease from Prime Marina Group. The asset includes 111 slips (up to 130-foot vessels), 30,000 sq ft of retail and 15,000 sq ft of restaurant space (fully occupied), and Suntex plans operational and amenity improvements to enhance the waterfront experience.

Suntex Marina Investors, a Dallas-based owner and operator of marina properties, has acquired Channel Club Marina in Monmouth Beach, New Jersey. The four-acre facility on the Shrewsbury River features more than 140 slips, on-site restaurants, a pool and marina services; Suntex said the property will be added to its growing portfolio in the New Jersey/New York area.

The acquisition adds 134 wet slips and 190 dry rack storage spaces to Suntex’s network; George and Amanda Fussell will continue to operate an independent marine sales and service business on-site under the Two Georges Marine name.

The marina expands Suntex's Phoenix-area footprint (its third marina and third Suntex Boat Club within a two-hour drive of Phoenix) and includes slips, covered slips, dry storage, a fuel dock, pump-out, ships store, on-site marine service center and an on-site restaurant.

Sun Communities, Inc. entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Safe Harbor Marinas, LLC for an aggregate purchase price of approximately $2.11 billion. Safe Harbor will operate as a standalone subsidiary led by its existing management team, providing Sun with a new marina platform that diversifies its geographic and customer footprint and is expected to be accretive to 2021 Core FFO per share.
