Pebblebrook Hotel Trust (NYSE: PEB) acquired the 257-room Gurney's Newport Resort & Marina in Newport, Rhode Island for $174.0 million on June 23, 2022. Pebblebrook plans to reposition and renovate the resort, integrate it into its Curator Hotel & Resort Collection, and evaluate operating and physical enhancements to drive cash flow and higher positioning in the Newport market.

Pebblebrook Hotel Trust acquired the 369-room Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort in Hollywood, Florida for $270 million from an affiliate of KSL Capital Partners, LLC. The oceanfront lifestyle resort will continue to be managed by Davidson Hospitality Group and becomes part of Pebblebrook's Curator Hotel & Resort Collection as the REIT seeks to expand its footprint in South Florida.

BDT & MSD Partners Takes Minority Stake in Auberge Resorts Collection

Beemok Capital Acquires Charleston Place Hotel

TowerBrook Acquires Majority Stake in Berkeley Research Group (BRG)

As part of the transaction, existing investor Endeavour Capital will exit, BRG's management team will remain in place under CEO Tri MacDonald, and a syndicate led by Royal Bank of Canada will provide committed financing.

Remington Hotels / Ashford Acquires Chesapeake Hospitality

Remington Hotels, a wholly-owned portfolio company of Ashford Inc., has acquired Chesapeake Hospitality for initial consideration of $15.75 million (paid $6.3M cash and $9.45M in a new convertible preferred unit) with up to $10.25 million of additional earnout consideration, for a potential total of $26 million. The deal expands Remington's third-party hotel management business—adding IHG properties and the 877-key Showboat Atlantic City—growing the combined portfolio to 121 hotels and increasing Remington's third-party mix from ~20% to ~40%.
