Specialized Packaging Group (a portfolio company of Altamont Capital Partners) has acquired Protective Packaging Solutions (PPS), a custom designer and fabricator of engineered protective packaging based in Aurora, Colorado. The acquisition expands SPG's engineered packaging capabilities and geographic reach, adding approximately 90 employees to SPG's ~1,600-person workforce; Monroe Capital provided a senior credit facility to support the transaction.

Auxo Investment Partners Acquires Precision Products Group, Inc. from Long Point Capital

Auxo Investment Partners has acquired Precision Products Group, Inc. (PPG) from Long Point Capital (with Greyrock Capital Group as part of the selling partnership); PPG management participated alongside Auxo. PPG is a niche manufacturer of small-diameter spiral-wound tubes/cores and specialty pharmaceutical and consumer packaging (including the Euclid Medical Products unit-dose systems); transaction terms were not disclosed and BGL served as exclusive advisor and executed a sale-leaseback of PPG real estate.

ATS Corporation to Acquire Paxiom Group

ATS Corporation has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Paxiom Group, a Montreal-based provider of primary, secondary and end-of-line packaging machines serving food & beverage, cannabis and pharmaceutical customers. Paxiom generated approximately $67 million of revenue and adjusted EBITDA margin above 19% in calendar 2023, employs roughly 200 people, and will join ATS' Products and Food Technology business; the deal is expected to close in Q3 2024 with funding from cash and the company's revolving credit facility.

ProAmpac Acquires APC Paper Group

ProAmpac, a Cincinnati-based flexible packaging company owned by Pritzker Private Capital, has acquired APC Paper Group, a producer of 100% recycled kraft paper packaging with mills in New Hampshire and New York. The add-on acquisition expands ProAmpac's paper manufacturing capabilities and strengthens its position in recyclable and sustainable packaging products.

Precision Products Group (Auxo) Acquires Cindus Corporation

The add-on acquisition will expand PPG’s insulated-paper capabilities and support planned investments to increase production capacity to meet growing demand in the transformer and power-infrastructure markets.

PPC Flexible Packaging Acquires Plastic Packaging Technologies (PPT)

PPC Flexible Packaging LLC, a GTCR-backed flexible packaging platform headquartered in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, has acquired Plastic Packaging Technologies, LLC (PPT), a flexible packaging manufacturer based in Kansas City, Kansas. The acquisition adds PPT’s two manufacturing and distribution facilities and ~425 employees to PPC’s network, expanding capacity, capabilities and geographic footprint across North America.
