Texas-based investment group CMG completed a series of roll-up transactions in 2022 that added more than 38 Ace Hardware storefronts across nine deals, including the purchase of 20+ Potter's Ace Hardware locations in middle Tennessee and southern Kentucky and several individual Ace franchise stores (three in Wisconsin and one in Douglasville, Georgia). CMG is combining these assets under a single platform called Bolster Hardware to scale operations, realize efficiencies, and provide succession/liquidity solutions for aging, family-owned sellers.

Grove Mountain built Unique by consolidating a group of regional HVAC, plumbing and electrical service companies; the management team led by CEO Nate Kukla will remain in place as Unique joins Ace's home services strategy.
