Fresh & Ready Foods Acquires Green Cuisine from the Sanderson Family

Green Cuisine, a San Fernando, California private-label food manufacturer owned by the Sanderson family, was sold to Fresh & Ready Foods, a San Fernando-based portfolio company backed by Akoya Capital, Balance Point Capital and Plexus Capital. KROST acted as exclusive financial advisor to Green Cuisine; the deal value was not disclosed and represents an add-on to Fresh & Ready Foods' platform to expand its prepared-food manufacturing capabilities.

CREO Capital Partners Acquires Bova Fresh

Miami-based private equity firm CREO Capital Partners has acquired Bova Fresh, a Boca Raton-based food procurement and distribution company that serves retail and foodservice customers across the U.S. Founders Bob Wilhelm and Steve San Filippo retain a minority stake and will continue to run the business; CREO plans to integrate Bova Fresh with other portfolio assets to expand sourcing, distribution and Latin America-focused procurement capabilities.

Whitsons Culinary Group Acquires Fresh Picks Café, LLC

Whitsons Culinary Group, a portfolio company of GenNx360 Capital Partners, has acquired Fresh Picks Café LLC, a Manchester, New Hampshire-based provider of outsourced food service management to more than 50 K-12 schools and summer camp locations. The acquisition expands Whitsons' presence in the New England market; Fresh Picks' regional leadership team will remain in place as part of Whitsons.

Sun Capital Affiliate Acquires Fresh Origins from LaSalle Capital

An affiliate of Sun Capital Partners has completed the acquisition of Fresh Origins, a San Marcos, California–based grower and shipper of microgreens and edible flowers. LaSalle Capital, which owned Fresh Origins since ~2018, exited the business; terms were not disclosed and Fresh Origins' CEO Norma St. Amant will remain in place as Sun Capital pursues expanded foodservice and retail penetration and operational improvements.

Arbor Investments Recapitalizes Dr. G's Creations
