MidOcean Partners, a New York-based private equity firm, has acquired SI Solutions, a provider of engineering, testing, inspection, compliance, maintenance and digital solutions for power and critical infrastructure. SI Solutions (more than 450 employees) will remain led by CEO Mark Marano; management, employee shareholders and prior investor Jumana Capital have reinvested in the business. Terms were not disclosed.

SI Solutions Acquires Radiological Solutions

SI Solutions, through its advanced engineering division Structural Integrity Associates (SIA), has acquired Radiological Solutions, Inc., a nuclear engineering partner that specializes in plant chemistry, radiological controls, radiation protection, and specialized monitoring equipment. The acquisition expands SIA's capabilities in nuclear chemistry, radiation management, emergency preparedness and equipment design and brings Radiological Solutions' team and expertise (based outside Chicago) into SI Solutions' PE-backed platform.

Sciens Building Solutions (Huron Capital) Acquires Critical System Solutions

Sciens Building Solutions, the fire service and integrated solutions platform backed by Huron Capital, has acquired St. Petersburg, Florida-based Critical System Solutions, a provider of life safety systems including fire detection, sprinklers, security and access control. The add-on strengthens Sciens' footprint on Florida's west coast and expands its capabilities and local service capacity within commercial, educational, hospitality and healthcare end markets.

SCR, Inc. Acquires MN Controls Solutions

The acquisition will add Honeywell partnerships and augment SCR's building automation capabilities across Minnesota and the upper Midwest.

R1 RCM Acquires SCI Solutions

R1 RCM Inc. completed the acquisition of SCI Solutions, a provider of digital patient access and engagement software, to expand its technology-enabled revenue cycle and patient intake capabilities. The deal (announced Jan 2020, closed Apr 2020) brings SCI’s EHR-agnostic care coordination marketplace and digital “front door” offerings into R1’s platform, and was previously owned by investors including The Wicks Group, NEA and Columbia Pacific.

Sciens Building Solutions Acquires Southern Fire Control

Sciens Building Solutions, a Carlyle-backed fire and life safety platform, has acquired Southern Fire Control, a Pembroke Pines, Florida-based full-service fire sprinkler contractor founded in 1990. The add-on expands Sciens' presence in Florida to eight locations and increases the company's Florida headcount to nearly 600, broadening its capabilities across education, healthcare, hospitality and multi-family verticals.
