Teamworks Acquires Smartabase, Retain, Grafted and NextPlay

Durham-based enterprise SaaS provider Teamworks announced the acquisitions of four sports-technology companies — Smartabase, Retain, Grafted and NextPlay — to expand its Operating System for Sports and launch an integrated collegiate compliance solution. The deals add human performance, athlete development, anonymous reporting/survey, and alumni engagement capabilities to Teamworks’ platform, accelerating product breadth across the athlete lifecycle.
