Dragoneer Leads $235M Series F in Teamworks

Teamworks, the Durham-based operating system for sports, raised $235 million in an oversubscribed Series F led by returning investor Dragoneer Investment Group at a pre-money valuation above $1.0 billion. The primary and secondary financing will fund expansion of Teamworks' AI and data science capabilities and accelerate product development across its talent, performance, coaching and operations suites.

Teamworks has acquired Sportlogiq, the Montreal-based leader in AI-powered hockey analytics, integrating Sportlogiq’s computer vision and tracking technology into Teamworks’ Intelligence platform. Sportlogiq’s team of roughly 80 employees (including 10 AI researchers) and its iCE platform will join Teamworks to expand its analytics, game-preparation, and talent-evaluation capabilities across professional and collegiate sports.
