The founder, Christopher Troy, sold the business in preparation for retirement and will remain involved for a transition period; BDC Capital provided acquisition financing.

Lynx Equity Acquires Yellowhead Wood Products Inc.

Toronto-based private equity firm Lynx Equity Limited has acquired Yellowhead Wood Products Inc., a 30-year-old secondary wood remanufacturer headquartered in Edson, Alberta. The acquisition expands Lynx's wood re-manufacturing platform (joining Winfield Wood and Lath) and was supported by $3.5 million in acquisition financing from BDC Capital; the sellers were the shareholders of Yellowhead and the sell-side process was led by MNP Corporate Finance.
