CX1 Capital Acquires SatCom Marketing

CX1 Capital Inc., a Toronto-based private equity sponsor, has completed the acquisition of Fort Myers, Florida-based SatCom Marketing (doing business as SatComCX). CX1 founder Sajan Choksi was named CEO of SatComCX and the deal is described as the first step in a buy-and-build expansion plan to modernize systems, grow the company's footprint, and create new employee opportunities.

Iridium Communications Acquires Satelles

Iridium Communications has agreed to acquire Satelles, a provider of satellite-based Satellite Time and Location (STL) services that harden and complement GNSS timing and location systems. Iridium will pay about $115 million for the remaining ~80% of Satelles (it already owned ~20%), will fold STL into a new Iridium business line led by Satelles CEO Dr. Michael O'Connor, and expects the capability to drive significant service revenue growth.

OneWeb Acquires TrustComm Inc.

OneWeb has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire TrustComm Inc., a Houston-based managed satellite communications and professional services provider, and will operate TrustComm as a newly acquired government-focused subsidiary. The acquisition is intended to enable OneWeb to offer its LEO network and connectivity services to U.S. government clients (including the DoD) and TrustComm customers; terms were not disclosed and the deal was expected to close in 2021.
