Assurant has purchased the remaining shareholding in Olivar Co. Ltd., a South Korea–based provider of mobile device lifecycle management and asset disposition. The deal completes Assurant’s multi-year investment in Olivar and strengthens its Connected Living business by expanding device protection, lifecycle management and asset disposition capabilities in South Korea and the broader Asia Pacific region.

Assurant Acquires UK Tech Repair Retailer iSmash

Assurant, Inc. has acquired iSmash, the UK’s leading independent tech repair chain, adding iSmash’s 38 drop-in repair centres and 152 employees to Assurant’s European mobile device capabilities. The acquisition expands Assurant’s UK drop-in repair footprint (now 68 locations under the iSmash and Pocket Geek banners) and will see iSmash continue to operate under the Assurant Global Connected Living business.

H.I.G. Capital Acquires Majority Stake in Mobileum from Audax Private Equity

Technology Partners, has acquired a majority ownership stake in Mobileum Inc. from Audax Private Equity, with Audax retaining a minority equity position. Mobileum, headquartered in Cupertino, California, is a provider of telecom analytics and network security software that supports communications service providers and will continue expanding its analytics platform to address 5G and IoT-driven needs.
