Recochem Acquires KIK's Auto Care Business (Prestone and Holts)

Recochem has acquired KIK Consumer Products’ Auto Care business, which comprises the Prestone brand in North America and Holts in the United Kingdom. The transaction creates a larger global automotive solutions group combining Recochem, Prestone and Holts to expand geographic reach, scale manufacturing and broaden product offerings; terms were not disclosed.

CapVest Acquires Recochem from H.I.G. Capital

Funds managed by CapVest Partners LLP have acquired Recochem, a global manufacturer, marketer and distributor of aftermarket transportation and household fluids, from H.I.G. Capital, which will remain a minority investor. Recochem, headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, generates revenues in excess of $1 billion and CapVest plans to support further organic growth and M&A-driven expansion.

Hudson Technologies Acquires USA Refrigerants

Hudson Technologies acquired USA United Suppliers of America Inc. (d/b/a USA Refrigerants) for $20.7 million, with up to $2.0 million in additional earnout consideration. USA Refrigerants is a national refrigerant distributor and longtime purchaser of recovered refrigerants; Hudson said the purchase will create a dedicated refrigerant acquisition group to expand its acquisition, reclamation and sales capabilities.
