Pfingsten, an operationally focused private equity firm, made a platform investment in New England Electrical Contracting, LLC, a Kingston, Massachusetts-based provider of electrical services supporting 5G deployment, EV charging and utility customers. The transaction closed on October 6, 2021; founder Kevin Farrell retained significant equity and Pfingsten said it will support growth through investments in people, infrastructure, geographic expansion and add-on acquisitions.

Pfingsten-backed NEC Acquires Eastern Communications, LLC

Pfingsten’s portfolio company NEC acquired Eastern Communications, LLC, a Bloomfield, Connecticut-based provider of maintenance, repair and upgrade services for telecommunications infrastructure. The deal—NEC’s third add-on since Pfingsten became majority shareholder in October 2021—closed October 31, 2022; Eastern CEO Steve Slade will retain ownership and join NEC’s executive team as the combined platform expands geographic coverage and service capabilities.

New England Electrical Expands Telecom Services Platform with Molicom Partnership

Molicom President and owner Keith Barnard will retain ownership and join New England Electrical's executive team as the combined company pursues Pfingsten's strategy to build a national independent telecommunications service provider.
