Agilent Technologies Acquires BIOVECTRA for $925M

Agilent Technologies has acquired BIOVECTRA, a Canada-based contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO), for $925 million. The acquisition — a purchase from H.I.G. Capital — expands Agilent's CDMO capabilities across biologics, HPAPIs, pDNA/mRNA and LNP formulation, and integrates BIOVECTRA into Agilent's Diagnostics and Genomics Group.

ATS Corporation Acquires Avidity Science

Mesa Laboratories, Inc. (NASDAQ:MLAB) entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Agena Bioscience, Inc. for $300 million in cash. Agena, a San Diego–based molecular diagnostics and genomics tools company, is expected to add roughly $63–67 million of revenue (about 65% recurring) in the first 12 months and will form Mesa’s new Clinical Genomics Division.

Bionano Genomics Acquires BioDiscovery

Bionano Genomics agreed to acquire BioDiscovery, a provider of NxClinical genomics analysis software, in a deal worth up to $100 million in cash and equity. The acquisition will integrate BioDiscovery's platform-agnostic analysis and reporting tools with Bionano's optical genome mapping technology to accelerate variant analysis and broaden Bionano's market reach; BioDiscovery founder Soheil Shams will join Bionano as Chief Informatics Officer.

GHO Capital and Ampersand Acquire Avid Bioservices for $1.1 Billion

The transaction takes Avid private (shareholders received $12.50 per share) and positions the company for capability expansion, geographic reach and accelerated growth under the new PE ownership.

The transaction is the fifth add-on completed under ShoreView's ownership and is intended to broaden Avidity's product capabilities and geographic presence in the life-science research market.
