Renewable Energy Group Acquires Amber Resources (dba Sawyer Petroleum) and Affiliates

Renewable Energy Group, Inc. (REG) has acquired Amber Resources, LLC (dba Sawyer Petroleum) and affiliated entities M.O. Dion & Sons and Amber Petroleum Products, expanding REG's downstream footprint in Southern California. The acquisition adds over 60 million gallons/year of diesel sales, a significant lubricants business (Shell Prestige distributor), eight locations including three cardlock sites, and is expected to be immediately accretive.

Chevron Corporation agreed to acquire Renewable Energy Group, Inc. (REG) in an all-cash transaction valued at $3.15 billion (or $61.50 per share). The acquisition combines REG’s renewable fuels production and feedstock capabilities with Chevron’s manufacturing, distribution, and commercial marketing position and was completed after REG shareholder approval.

RelaDyne Acquires Dawson Oil Company

RelaDyne has acquired Dawson Oil Company from Chevron, adding Dawson's Northern California fuel, lubricant and DEF distribution network to RelaDyne's portfolio. The deal extends RelaDyne's geographic footprint in Northern California (warehouse hubs in Rocklin, Auburn, Diamond Springs, Oroville and Yuba City) and aims to expand product and service offerings while deepening commercial ties with Chevron.

Ares Management Acquires Dynamic Renewables with Minority Investment from NorthWestern Energy

A fund managed by Ares Management's Infrastructure Opportunities strategy has acquired Dynamic Renewables, a U.S.-based developer, owner and operator of anaerobic digestion and renewable natural gas (RNG) projects. An unregulated affiliate of NorthWestern Energy also took a small minority stake; the investments will support development, construction and expansion of Dynamic's pipeline and operating assets, including the BC Organics facility in Wisconsin.

Daybreak Oil and Gas Acquires Reabold California LLC

Daybreak Oil and Gas, Inc. agreed to acquire Reabold California LLC in an all-stock transaction, with Gaelic Resources Limited (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Reabold Resources plc) expected to own up to 45% of Daybreak’s common stock at closing. Daybreak later completed the acquisition in May 2022 after obtaining shareholder approval and the Equity Exchange agreement was closed.

Diversified Energy Acquires Maverick Natural Resources

Diversified Energy Company PLC has completed its acquisition of Maverick Natural Resources. The transaction was partly satisfied by the issuance of 21,194,213 new ordinary shares and will see Maverick CEO Rick Gideon become Diversified's Chief Operating Officer effective March 18, 2025.
