An investor group led by Greenbelt Capital Management, alongside funds managed by Schroders Capital, StepStone Group and Wafra Inc., has completed the acquisition of Saber Power Services from funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management. Saber’s management will retain a significant stake, and Blackstone Credit provided debt and equity financing to support the transaction; the Houston-area electrical infrastructure services firm will partner with Greenbelt to accelerate growth in grid modernization and energy-transition markets.

ESI Acquires Bounds Elevator

Elevator Service LLC (ESI), a Grand Rapids-based elevator service platform, has acquired Bounds Elevator, an independent service provider in the New Orleans market, from founder Tim Bounds. The deal — completed with financial backing from Greenwich-based family office Carroll Capital and debt financing from BMO — is an add-on to ESI's platform to strengthen its presence in Southern Louisiana and the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Sabre, based in Alvarado, Texas, is a manufacturer of engineered overhead steel poles, towers, battery storage solutions and related services for utility and telecom end markets; it will remain an independent Blackstone portfolio company with management and employees staying in place and investing alongside Blackstone.

Cotton Creek Capital has formed Bobcat Power Holdings, LLC and acquired regional substation contractor Bobcat Heavy Civil, LLC to create a platform for substation infrastructure services. Bobcat, headquartered in Waco, Texas, will continue providing turnkey substation site work and above-ground electrical construction across Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana as Cotton Creek scales the business.
