SJW Group’s Texas subsidiary, SJWTX Inc. (dba Canyon Lake Water Service Company), has closed the acquisition of Texas Country Water (TCW) in Comal County, Texas. The acquisition — the fourth Texas purchase by SJWTX in the past 12 months — adds more than 100 customers to SJWTX’s footprint as the company continues geographic expansion and infrastructure investment in the Austin–San Antonio growth corridor.

Financial terms were not disclosed; the deal marks HFW's 10th partner firm as it continues a buy-and-build growth strategy supported by VSS.

West Virginia American Water Acquires Jefferson Utilities

West Virginia American Water, a subsidiary of American Water, completed the acquisition of Jefferson Utilities (including assets of Valley Water and Sewer Services, Shenandoah Junction Public Sewer and East Jefferson Sewer Services) for $27 million. The combined systems serve 3,978 customer connections across Jefferson, Berkeley and Morgan counties; the buyer plans infrastructure updates and will transition customers to West Virginia American Water service and PSC-established rates. The seller/owner, Lee Snyder, is retiring after building the systems over 25 years.

Argonaut Private Equity Acquires Bandera Utility Contractors

Argonaut Private Equity, a Tulsa-based private equity firm, has acquired Bandera Utility Contractors, an underground wet-utility contractor headquartered in McKinney, Texas.
