SkyWater Technology Acquires Infineon’s Fab 25 Semiconductor Fab

SkyWater Technology completed its acquisition of Infineon Technologies AG’s 200 mm semiconductor fab in Austin, Texas (“Fab 25”). The deal increases SkyWater’s U.S.-based, pure-play foundry capacity by adding roughly 400,000 wafer starts per year and converts the site from captive IDM capacity to an open-access foundry.
