SpartanNash Acquires Fresh Encounter Inc. to Expand Retail Footprint

SpartanNash announced it will acquire Fresh Encounter Inc. (FEI), a 49-store supermarket chain serving Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. The acquisition is expected to close in late November, with SpartanNash continuing employment for FEI’s roughly 2,500 team members and expanding its retail footprint by 33%.
