Spire Acquires Duke Energy’s Tennessee Piedmont Natural Gas Business for $2.48 Billion

The deal includes nearly 3,800 miles of distribution and transmission pipelines and serves more than 200,000 customers primarily in the Greater Nashville area, with the transaction expected to close in the first quarter of 2026.
